Here is another night shot from the famous Gulfoss waterfall. Aurora activity was predicted that night although it was not forecast to be quite as strong as at Kirkjufell. However, it was also going to be a cloudy night so I had to wait for the clouds to open up a bit. The short aurora swirl was definitely very faint and this is one of those pictures which benefits a lot from boosting the exposure because it wasn’t quite as evident as the picture dictates. It is also very grainy as a result but it still has a nice character to it that I find appealing… and even better if I could have aligned the clouds a bit better to the waterfall. But then again, nothing is ever perfect and this is a nice moment to remember from that night.
